A couple weeks ago I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for a very dear to us friend (the first baby shower that I have ever thrown actually). I enlisted the help of a few close friends and together it came together just right. We hosted a simple shower with simple decor. Feminine and sweet. We gathered in the evening to avoid the summer heat, had fresh fruit, cheese, crackers and fresh bread with an array of drinks. Tea, lemonade, Jone's sodas, sparkling water..you get the point. No big games, just visiting, gifts, and a little diaper project (if you can even call it that). Basically, we had guests think of silly or sweet little sayings to make the new-mom-to-be (again) smile in the wee hours of the morning, and write that on the backside or the frontside of the diaper.

Baby Emma (and her mamma from Ballpoint and Pen) paid the shower a visit and it quickly turned into Emma's big debut out. No complaining there. I think we were all enamored with her. Who doesn't love a newborn? Especially at a baby shower!?

And lastly, dessert. Madelines, cheesecake on a stick, and a smores bar to satisfy a long over due craving.

Happy shower Holly! We love you. And baby Jane, we'll see you soon! We are SO excited for your arrival.
